An email from Richard arrived today letting me know about his new RSS autoresponder software called RSS Response. RSS autoresponders work exactly the same way as email auto responders except they use RSS to deliver the messages rather than email.
I have reviewed RSS autoreponders before but both systems now seem to have become defunct. So it seems appropriate that RSS Response have jumped into the fray.
AutoResponders
If you are new to autoreponders then here is a quick overview. An autoreponder sends out a series of messages over a timeframe you specify. They are used to deliver chronological messages such as a training course or more often are used to deliver a sales message.
RSS Response - what does it do
Why use an RSS autoresponder
Once you have set up an autoresponder campaign you place the customer sign up code on your site. When the customer signs up they will receive a series of messages over a period of days or weeks.
Sending multiple messages over a period of time allows you to sell your product or service to the customer. Rather than just having one shot at getting your message to your customer you have several. Having this prolonged contact with a customer builds up trust, reinforces your sales message and results in more sales.
You can use email or RSS to deliver your message but RSS is guaranteed to be delivered and RSS does not have the spam problem email has.
RSS Response is a pay for service but they allow you to set up a campaign to test out the service.
